Features
The F440 incorporates basically the same features as the Model F450, but
uses a 4" (100 mm) diameter grinding wheel
with a Sopko adaptor.
The use of the smaller diameter grinding wheel helps to minimize flute
washout.
The same enclosed grinding chamber, heavy duty multi-flute gearbox, box hopper
loader and high-rise web increase system
are all included on the F440.
Specifications:
Size range: 3/32" to 1/2" (2.5 mm - 13 mm) diameter.
Maximum flute length: 4.5" (115 mm).
Overall maximum length: 7.5" (190 mm).
Maximum shank length: 5" (130 mm).
Helix angle: Minimum of 18° and maximum of 48° right hand only.
Setup time: Complete changeover from size to size in an average of 30 minutes.
Grinding wheel size: 4" (100 mm) O.D. with Sopko adaptor. Resin bonded diamond type.
NOTE: Diamond grinding wheels are not included with the machine.
Options: Double pass grind. Piece counter shutdown.
